General Info
- Limited to 12-16 spots, regardless of level and experience. Enrollment is by application, and you must be in a performer program (2 of the 3 plans include a discount for the solo program)
- Program runs per season. You can participate in either the Winter or Summer season program, or both if choosing a shorter enrollment period.
- If you're interested in the solo program, enrolment in one of the three PoleCoven performance plans is mandatory.
- This program doesn't limit the number of solos you create or co-create, but facilitates the process and outcome.
Solo Details and Style Tracks
- All solos are collaborative with the production team and co-created/choreographed.
- PoleCoven may occasionally produce a full set concept, offering solos/features/vignettes to students enrolled in the solo track.
- Pole skills in solos/features/vignettes will be decided collaboratively with lead instructors. Students may only perform skills considered safe for their skill levels.
- Music will be predetermined in certain productions. Students can participate in a style of their choosing, knowing the songs in advance.
- For PoleCoven-produced shows, students co-creating full solo acts will co-select music with the producer's guidance. This collaboration aims to find song choices that fit both the show and the student's aesthetic.
- Program participants can join multiple Style Tracks but may only perform in styles they're experienced in, currently training in, or have attended specialty classes/workshops for.
