SPOTLIGHT CABARET at ARTEMIS WHISKEY BAR

Spotlight is a collaboration between Lucent Productions and Artemis Whiskey Bar that creates performance opportunities for Victoria’s emerging performing artists. These Sunday matinee showcases features students from PoleCoven’s Captivate Program alongside community performers selected by a panel of professional artits through an application process. Spotlight is building a platform where new artists can develop their craft in a professional setting.

Kuya J is a gender fluid, absolutely unhinged, and chaotic performer whose goal is to constantly keep a smile on your face with outrageous their choices in performing. Their performance will speak for itself and they hope you enjoy them in all their stank face glory!

PANDORA BOX CABARET

Pandora’s Box Cabaret is a bold performance company specializing in cabaret and variety entertainment that blurs the line between audience and performer. Along with producing immersive shows such as Dance with the Devil, founder Miss Rita St. Claire is a incredible instructor who leads group burlesque classes that refine the foundations of performance, peels, teasing the audience, costuming basics, and working with choreography in a supportive group environment.

MC: Miss Rita St. Claire

Miss Rita St. Claire is the founder and director of Pandora’s Box Cabaret and the creative force behind its signature blend of cabaret, burlesque, comedy, and dance.

A graduate of the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Miss St. Claire has written, produced, and directed shows across the West Coast of Canada and the United Kingdom. A professional emcee and former MainStage comedian with Vancouver TheatreSports, she brings quick wit, heart, and theatrical flair to every performance.

In addition to leading Pandora’s Box, Miss St. Claire teaches heels dance with Luminesque, burlesque with Pole Coven, and comedy with Garden City Improv and the City of Victoria.
