Learn With Guest Artist Leanne This November at PoleCoven

We’re delighted to welcome Leanne (@leannedancedance) to PoleCoven for a special workshop series! She’s performing in Pandora Box Cabaret’s Velvet Inferno Show at Herald’s St. Brewery on November 15th, and PoleCoven is excited to learn from her the next day in the studio.

Leanne brings over a decade of rich experience as a pole artist, teacher, and performer. As a regular instructor at Be 1 Fitness in Vancouver, Leanne has cultivated a warm teaching style that meets students where they are. Her background includes competing and judging internationally, and she’s brought that depth of knowledge into creating accessible, engaging classes. She’s a regularly gracing the stage at the Granville Strip, and a proud sex worker and advocate.

FAQ: Why Train with Leanne

We know that deciding whether to sign up for a workshop involves more than just checking your calendar. You might be wondering if it’s the right fit for your experience level, your goals, or your current season of life. Below are some questions we hear often! If you have questions we haven’t addressed, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Our goal is to help you make the choice that feels right for you, whether that means registering or saving your energy for another time.

I’m not planning to perform or compete. Is this still relevant?

Completely. Flow, expression, and artistic development enhance your pole practice whether you ever step on a stage or not. These skills deepen your relationship with movement, help you find more joy in your practice, and give you new ways to explore creativity on your own terms. Leanne’s experience in performance contexts means she understands movement deeply—but that knowledge serves all students, not just performers.

Is this worth the investment if I’m on a tight budget?

Only you can answer what feels right for your circumstances. Guest workshops are more expensive than regular classes because PoleCoven typically covers the visiting artist’s accommodation and travel to offer special, time-limited opportunities. That said, we want them to be accessible. We offer discounts to Captivate performance students and community members who are deeply invested in their pole practice but cannot afford the extra cost. If cost is a barrier, please reach out (hello@polecoven.com)—we may have options. And if this workshop isn’t feasible right now, there will be other opportunities in the future. Your regular pole practice is already valuable, and this is just one of the exciting extra offerings in the studio.

I already love my regular classes. What would I gain from a guest workshop?

Guest instructors offer fresh perspectives that can unlock new dimensions in your practice. Leanne’s approach to flow and fluidity might resonate differently than what you’ve experienced before, giving you new tools and concepts to play with. Many students find that learning the same skill from different teachers helps them understand it more deeply—each instructor highlights different nuances. Plus, there’s something energizing about learning in a special workshop format alongside your community.
